Unity Garden, a community green space created through a partnership between the Nicetown-Tioga Improvement Team and COSACOSA Art at Large.

Formed in 1998 to consolidate community and economic development efforts, the Nicetown-Tioga Improvement Team (NTIT) is a Registered Community Organization (RCO) working to improve our North Philadelphia neighborhood by providing a public forum for community planning, dialogue, and social action.

We serve as the umbrella group for over 50 neighborhood-based organizations, CDCs, and area block captains. We work in partnership to address neighborhood residents' needs for housing, education, employment and self-development, as well as community advocacy.

As a Registered Community Organization (RCO) with the Philadelphia City Planning Commission (PCPC), we represent the neighborhood in zoning matters. As such, we receive first notice of significant zoning proposals in the community and are responsible for scheduling and hosting public meetings for development projects filing for Zoning Board appeal or requiring Civic Design Review by the City of Philadelphia Office of Licenses and Inspections.
