S. Archye Leacock is the founder of Institute for the Development of African American Youth. His 2015 campaign for City Council said this:

Archye is a true social entrepreneur, with a 23 year proven track record. Under his leadership, the Institute for the Development of African American Youth (IDAAY) has served over 25,000 youth and their families through a series of educational, cultural, parenting, intervention, prevention programs, and social services in Philadelphia and Montgomery counties.  Currently, Archye serves on several boards throughout Philadelphia, including:  The Mayor’s Commission on African and Caribbean Immigrant Affairs, 100 Black Men of Philadelphia and a plethora of city-wide and neighborhood board/advisory groups.
