This neighborhoods resource page is intended to highlight various aspects of life and resources in each neighborhood.

Overview

Neighborhoods in Philadelphia are not officially defined. Names and boundaries are sometimes controversial.

Wikidelphia has been building a list of Philadelphia neighborhoods under its Where category. Each subcategory that doesn't include a state name is a Philadelphia neighborhood. Many of the neighborhood subcategories have maps. Most have descriptions of the neighborhood's boundaries--not intended to be definitive or authoritative. Some of the neighborhood subcategories have lists of adjoining neighborhoods, enabling you to do some geographical exploration from one 'hood to the next.

Another list is on Wikipedia: List of Philadelphia neighborhoods.
