Philadelphia History Museum liberates the story of the city from the textbook page and challenges students to consider the world around them and the stories of their city in new ways.

Formerly known as the Atwater Kent Museum, this facility chronicling the city's history reopened in September 2010 following an extensive renovation. Philadelphia's official history museum tells the city's story, beginning with its founding more than 300 years ago.
