Tamika Jordan is described by National Urban Fellows as follows:

Tamika Nicole Jordan, professionally and affectionately known as Tamika Nicole, has spent the better of the last two decades working for some of the region’s most longstanding human service and public education institutions. Prior to joining National Urban Fellows she served as a Project Director in Community College of Philadelphia's Division of Advancement and Community Engagement. Early on she provided leadership for the New Choices New Options Career Development Service (NCNO) and most recently to the Keystone Education Yields Success Program (KEYS). In her role as director for the KEYS Program, a workforce development initiative, she provided leadership, program and fiscal supervision, professional coaching and innovative service development for the largest project of its kind in the commonwealth. Tamika Nicole witnessed firsthand the social and systemic challenges individuals face in their aim for upward mobility. She discovered the complex and more often contrary relationship between direct programming, funding and public policy through her work with the Department of Human Service (formerly the Department of Public Welfare).
