United Ummah of Philly introduces itself with the line, "Helping our community to help themselves," and gives the following descriptive information:

United Ummah of Philly is a non-profit organization, who's dedicated to helping the homeless. Our goal is to end chronic homelessness in our community. The organization was founded by Ayisha Sims who has personal experience to lead the organization.

United Ummah of Philly wants to help ... achieve self-sufficiency, independence, education, and/or job skills. We would like to offer assistance in getting supportive, permanent, transitional and affordable housing. Also, with the help of outside resources, we would like to offer drug, alcohol, and mental health counseling; transportation; GED classes; vocational training; and job training.
