López y su familia. En marzo de 1984, con paciencia, resistencia y una respuesta abrumadora de la comunidad hispana, '''el periódico''' comenzó lentamente a expandirse. Se iniciaron las ediciones de Allentown/Bethlehem, y en noviembre, la edición de Lancaster comenzó a circular. En 1985 nació la edición de Harrisburg.

La demanda de lectores siguió aumentando, por lo que el 27 de septiembre de 1987 se introdujo la edición de Filadelfia, y en 1992, la edición de Camden, NJ comenzó a circular y el 1 de enero de 1996 nació la edición de Trenton.

''Translation'': El Hispano was established on October 19, 1976 in Reading, Pennsylvania by Aaron G. López and his family. In March 1984, with patience, resistance, and an overwhelming response from the Hispanic community, the newspaper slowly began to expand. Allentown/Bethlehem editions began, and in November, the Lancaster edition began circulation. In 1985 the Harrisburg edition was born.

Reader demand continued to increase, so on September 27, 1987, the Philadelphia edition was introduced, and in 1992, the Camden, NJ edition began circulation, and on January 1, 1996, the Trenton edition was born.
