Sarah Muehlbauer gives the following descriptive information:
I am a performance artist, activist, and writer, producing under the title “Lion or Fox”. I perform trapeze and rope (aerial acrobatics) for a family circus in Philadelphia. I also write critically about performance and develop collaborative projects that merge arts disciplines. The work I choose to engage with reaches a wide audience through the use of spectacle, while focusing primarily on social issues including landscape, sustainability, health, and the re-construction of community in a de-territorialized environment. I am interested in the boundaries between live and recorded work, between text and movement, and the projects that inspire me most seek to activate their audience while showcasing human skill and mastery. My favorite projects combine art installation, music, and performance in dynamic, interdependent live work.
