I recently started working on my friends' small rowhome. It's a two story home in Kensington with a front that angles back and an addition on the side. I'ts almost a full gut so it's a great opportunity to be creative. The couple is doing the work themselves so it's going to happen in stages. I'm still working on the first floor, but we're pretty happy with the upstairs. Stage 1 is to finish the top floor and leave it open as their bedroom. Stage 2 separates the floor to allow for guests to stay and also provides a sitting room/office outside their room and two closet spaces. Stage 3 is to add a room that can be used as a baby/child's room.

I love how creative I got to be with this project and how I was able to tailor this plan specifically to what the couple wanted!

Here are some sketches from my sketchbook. I like to rethink how a rowhouse could be laid out in my spare time.
