About Philly Custom Search (Is-Past)
Use the address above to do a Google search of more than 250 Philadelphia websites we selected for their credible, current, and philadelphia-relevant information -- instead of searching billions of sites on Google. We are using Google Custom Search to provide a more edited, targeted search for Philadelphia information.
You can search for anything. For example, search for any interest of yours, to find local information, events, and connections.
We welcome suggestions for more sites to include in this search; email them to philly@replicounts.org. And to check that your suggestions got used, search for something that appears on the site you suggested.
We especially need current lists of Greater Philadelphia:
- Church websites;
- Nightclub, theater, and other entertainment websites.
(There are online lists of church, nightclubs, etc., but most are designed to keep visitors on the site with the list, and not send them to the churches, etc. that are listed. We need lists of the websites of the churches or venues themselves, all on one page or a few pages -- and without too much advertising or other extraneous links on the pages, so that our search engine can pick up the individual sites. A little less greed on the Web would advance everyone's interests.)
