The CASA Youth Development Program is a North Camden NJ project of Guadalupe Family Services. The program's page gives the following descriptive information:

CASA provides a safe, empowering, and enriching environment for underserve, inner-city Camden youth enabling them to develop a strong sense of self, healthy relationships, and a vision for their future. CASA teaches Camden youth necessary life skills to overcome adversity and experience success and fulfillment through academic, social, spiritual, and service programs.

CASA offers after school programming five times a week. Teens can take advantage of tutoring and homework help, college access/support, life skills and mentoring, small groups focusing on particular skills (salsa dancing, ukulele lessons, cooking, personal finance...etc), social and academic trips, and much more.

CASA empowers the youth of tomorrow through the Youth Ambassadors program. This team of CASA youth helps facilitate meetings, welcome guests, lead workshops, and provide valuable insight to the adult staff. Teens who are interested in the Youth Ambassadors program must complete an application and interview process and attend weekly meetings. The Youth Ambassadors learn how to effective communication, time management, leadership, and much more.

CASA doesn't stop after high school graduation! In 2015 CASA created the Next Step program for CASA alumni currently in college. Next Step provides care and support to our college students as they transition from high school to college and beyond. Next Step programs include social activities, networking and professional workshops, advice on post baccalaureate options, and more.
