Coming of Age is a Philadelphia-based national initiative that was created in 2002 to help people age 50+ explore their futures, promote 50+ connection and contribution, and build stronger non-profits and communities. We currently have initiatives in Philadelphia, Delaware, San Francisco Bay Area, Kansas City, MO, Austin, TX, and Central PA. Initiatives in additional communities will be established in the near future.

In Philadelphia, Coming of Age is a partnership of The Intergenerational Center at Temple University, WHYY Wider Horizons, AARP Pennsylvania, and United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania.

The Philadelphia office is currently piloting a number of programs on a local level designed for national replication. Additionally, the full suite of trainings offered by Coming of Age, designed both for individuals and organizations, is available throughout the Greater Philadelphia area.
