Urban Agriculture in the City of Brotherly Love
This blog is about urban agriculture in Philadelphia. I started it in the spring of 2014, my second year of community gardening in my new home town. Philadelphia is the 12th place I’ve lived. It quickly became one of my favorites. My most recent past home town was Blawenburg, a crossroads hamlet near Princeton,Mark Thompson New Jersey, where I spent three years. Before that, I lived for 25 years in Los Angeles. Let others complain about the winters here in Philadelphia. After a quarter century of gardening in one-and-a-half season L.A., I’ve relished the challenge of gardening in a region where the seasons change dramatically every several months.
