The Feria del Barrio is an annual fair organized by the Taller Puertorriqueño. It gives the following descriptive information:

Since 1979 La Feria del Barrio celebrates Latino culture, family, and the economic and educational aspirations of the people of North Philadelphia with:

  • Live Latin music and dancing,
  • Latino food delicacies
  • Art and crafts
  • Much, much more

FERIA has increased opportunities for artists, promoted civic engagement, attracted new audiences, and built new relationships with other arts and community organizations. It has also helped create an environment for improved economic and commercial activity. Since Feria del Barrio happens in the heart of Latino Philadelphia, at El Centro de Oro, the business, and arts district, its economic benefits impact this corridor and community directly. The partner organizations keep Feria a family friendly destination with activities for children and entertainment for all ages.

Without support from local businesses, vendors, and corporate sponsors FERIA can’t go on. With the help of hundreds of volunteers, FERIA organizers clean the streets, move tables, set up booths, etc., costing much less than other such festivals. We have developed respectful relationships to guarantee a safe, family oriented trouble-free event that benefits the local community, and attracts new visitors to the area. For FERIA to succeed it must rely on all our supporters. As a corporate sponsor or vendor, your business can capitalize and be part of the strength and pride that Latino arts and culture bring. And with your aid, we will sustain and increase the growth of the North Philadelphia community. FERIA has hosted thousands of guests each year and this year will be better than ever.
