Medical, Educational, and Nutritional Programming for Philadelphia Immigrants

The Garces Foundation gives the following descriptive information:

The Garces Foundation is an IRS registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that is committed to ensuring that Philadelphia’s underserved immigrant community has access to medical, educational, and nutritional services.

In 2012, the Garces Foundation was founded by Jose Garces and Dr. Beatriz Mirabel Garces as a way to share their passion for helping others among Philadelphia’s immigrant community. The foundation raises money to provide this community with medical, educational, and nutritional programming. The goal is for them to take advantage of these resources so that they may actively contribute their talents to making this city truly world-class.

The foundation currently runs three programs that improve the health, language skills, and nutrition of Philadelphia immigrants. In 2013, the Garces Foundation served over 495 individuals in the community.
