Invisible River, which uses the tagline, "Celebrating our local rivers through live public performance & river advocacy" gives the following description:
Invisible River creates immersive, site-specific performances on our local rivers in Philadelphia, the Schuylkill and Delaware. These performances take you on a journey, asking you to question your own sense of reality as you engage with dance, nature, music, visual spectacle, and other spectators. We advocate for the health of our local rivers, and educate our fellow constituents about how to create a more sustainable, swimmable and drinkable river.
Mission Statement
To use art, outdoor activities and dynamic programming to build wise stewardship of our rivers and waterways, to create unique and otherworldly artistic celebrations and to engage the public in art and environmental education.
Annual Event
This organization puts on an annual event also called Invisible River. In 2015, it was set for Saturday, August 29 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
