Jane's Walk introduces itself with the line, "Citizen-led walking tours towards community-based city building," and gives the following descriptive information:

Philly is a city of neighborhoods, rich with treasures hidden in plain sight, that reward deep exploration. Join us for a weekend of public walks that promote curiosity and dialogue, and ask Philadelphians to explore their city together. Jane's Walks are occasions to slow down, look closer, and learn together.

Jane's Walk is a movement of free, citizen-led walking tours inspired by Jane Jacobs. The walks get people to tell stories about their communities, explore their cities, and connect with neighbours.

The organization is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Some of its tours happen in Philadelphia.
