I started AIDS Treatment News and published it for 20 years. Before that, I wrote software professionally for 20 years.

Now officially retired, I'm developing several public-interest projects involving: AIDS; aging; MDR tuberculosis (see http://tbnow.org); hepatitis C; disaster recovery and resilience information that can provide information during a permanent loss of the Internet and electric grid; and "mass sponsorship," a new way to pay artists and journalists for their digital work online.
