New Kensington Community Development Corporation (NKCDC)
NKCDC's mission is to strengthen the physical, social and economic fabric of Kensington, Fishtown and Port Richmond, Philadelphia, by being a catalyst for sustainable development and community building.
Since our beginning in 1985, we have drawn on the strengths of these communities to empower residents and promote resident-driven development. Each year NKCDC serves more than 30,000 low and moderate income families and 60,000 residents.
As just one of a team of community players, NKCDC has developed a multi-faceted approach to neighborhood revitalization.

Project Reinvest: Homeownership
FINANTA and NKCDC are partnering to disperse hundreds of $10,500 down payment assistance loans to eligible Philadelphia homebuyers through Project Reinvest: Homeownership. The program provides qualified homebuyers a 0% interest, deferred loan not due until the loan recipient sells or remortgages the home, or the title is transferred.
