A Philadelphia Police Advisory Commission meeting.

Helping Improve the Relationship between the Philadelphia Police Department and City Residents

The mission of the Police Advisory Commission (PAC) is to serve the community by helping to improve the relationship between the Police and community.

Through our work we:

  • Analyze the policies, practices, and customs of the Philadelphia Police Department.
  • Review police department policies and procedures.
  • Hold public meetings to discuss issues around Police matters.

We provide recommendations on how to improve the Police department with the Mayor, City Managing Director, and Police Commissioner.

The Police Advisory Commission is a member of the National Association for Civilian Oversight of Law Enforcement (NACOLE). For more information about police oversight around the U.S., visit NACOLE.

Note:  The above descriptive information came from the commission's home page.
