Children are the Heart of the Matter
"Love-in-action" is a dynamic kind of love. I believe that when this dynamism motivates and directs our actions, that they are always ultimately successful, and that we can never lose or fail. ~Sister Charity Kohl, Founder
Since 1971, CORA Services has been helping children and families in the Philadelphia region. Today we serve nearly 20,000 children and families every year, guided daily by the theme “Children are the Heart of the Matter.”
For schools, CORA Services provides academic support, school counseling, occupational therapy, speech and language services, psychological services, truancy services and student assessment programs. For the community, we offer individual and family counseling, mental health treatment, substance use services, teen/young adult pregnancy services, intensive prevention services, early intervention, after-school and summer programs, and preschool education.
CORA means Counseling Or Referral Assistance, and no one is ever turned away. If CORA Services does not provide a service, we will assist people with finding the help they need.
