To Spread The Joy Of The Fiber Arts
At Philly Knits, we hold meetups in various places (mainly cafes and libraries), and promote the "fiber arts" to schools and the public at large. We also host a Yarn Bombing group and have participated in several fiber arts projects.
We encourage our members to start and post their meetups (knitting, crochet, sewing, etc.) We also post requests for volunteers for educational, charity, and artistic projects, and work with local museums, libraries, educational institutions, businesses, and rehabilitation facilities.
