   Creating a welcoming space
   Offering a seat at the table and sharing meals together
   Emphasizing inclusiveness and kinship
   Inviting people to use their gifts and talents to foster community

   Developing programs that are initiated by community
   Engaging in dialogue for understanding
   Advocating for the most vulnerable

   Working side by side in shared labor, from washing dishes to painting murals

   Conducting and communicating community based research in service of the common good
