A Digital Video Museum of Philadelphia History
History Making Productions introduces itself with the line, "Winner of 12 Emmy Awards Mid-Atlantic Region", and gives the following descriptive information:
History Making Productions has produced a curated a virtual digital museum of Philadelphia history. Over the past six years, our company has created a large and growing library of films in the form of episodes, webisodes and short cuts that enable our visitors to explore and discover Philadelphia in a completely new way. This has been a groundbreaking project. We have engaged hundreds of historians, journalists and authors so that rather present a single point of view we try to present a wide range of perspectives. While women and people of color have largely been left out of much traditional history, they play front and center roles here. And, our documentary films dig deeply into the experiences of everyday people, almost all of them long forgotten or never remembered in the first instance.
“Must viewing...keeps getting better with each installment...exciting, invigorating, alive.” -- Philadelphia Inquirer
“Philadelphia: The Great Experiment is a monumental achievement--a chronologically and thematically comprehensive portrait of the city. The wonder of it is how it manages to be smart, complex, and subtle while at same time vivid, accessible, and fun to watch.” -- Peter Siskind, Executive Director, Urban History Association, Professor of History, Arcadia University
“About much more than history.” -- Philadelphia Daily News

Editor's Note
I'm a life-long Philadelphian. But I learned far more than I've ever known about William Penn and the founding of our City from their Videos. ~Stan (talk) 11:16, 1 July 2017 (EDT)
