The New Kensington Community Development Corporation (NKCDC) gives the following descriptive information:
NKCDC's mission is to strengthen the physical, social, and economic fabric of the community by being a catalyst for sustainable development and community building. NKCDC draws on the strengths of the community to empower residents and promote resident-driven development. While strategies have shifted over the past twenty eight years, NKCDC has developed into a community development corporation with a multi-faceted approach to neighborhood revitalization.
Zero Interest Mortgage Loans
FINANTA and NKCDC are partnering to disperse hundreds of $10,500 down payment assistance loans to eligible Philadelphia homebuyers through Project Reinvest: Homeownership. The program provides qualified homebuyers a 0% interest, deferred loan not due until the loan recipient sells or remortgages the home, or the title is transferred.
