Pennypack Environmental Center (PEC)
Follow in the footsteps of the brilliant artists John James Audubon and Alexander Wilson (the fathers of American ornithology) by bird watching along Pennypack Creek. The Pennypack Environmental Center resides on the unceded, ancestral land of the Lenape people, and was originally dedicated as a bird sanctuary in 1958.
Today, the Center has an outdoor amphitheater, exhibits, a reference library and campfire and picnic areas. Learn more about the various school, public and camp programs at the Pennypack Environmental Center by contacting us! The center is open from 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday. Follow our events for other programs on nights and weekends. We are closed for all Federal holidays. The building is also locked while we are out in the field, so we recommend calling before your visit.
