Center City Freecycle gives the following descriptive information:

CenterCity Freecycle (TM) is to promote the exchange of stuff, for free, in the general downtown area and keep stuff out of landfills, promote community and reduce driving. Neighborhoods include Northern Liberties and the Art Museum (northern) and to the South: Pennsport, Italian Market and South of South (South of Rittenhouse Sq.) and of course, river to river and everything in between.

Whether it's a chair, a fax machine, piano or an old door, feel free to post it. Or maybe you're looking to acquire something yourself. whatever -- you can post it (with the exception of explosives or other illegal items).

Every item posted must be free. Post your items here so they can find new homes with someone who wants or needs them. Let's keep usable items out of the landfill! We all know about recycling, but reuse is even more environmentally friendly. The only requirement is that it must be free and that it must be available for pick up in the downtown area. No trading or bartering, please.
