Eleventh Street Playground, a Nicetown-Tioga Improvement Team community project.

The Nicetown-Tioga Improvement Team (NTIT) gives the following descriptive information:

We serve as the umbrella group for over 50 neighborhood-based organizations, CDCs, and area block captains. We work in partnership to address neighborhood residents' needs for housing, education, employment and self-development, as well as community advocacy.

  • Share information and learn about opportunities for advancement.
  • Enhance community cooperation & individual life skills (e.g., health & well-being, financial literacy, job skills).
  • Strategize and implement solutions to community problems.

As a Registered Community Organization (RCO) with the Philadelphia City Planning Commission (PCPC), we represent the neighborhood in zoning matters. As such, we receive first notice of significant zoning proposals in the community and are responsible for scheduling and hosting public meetings for development projects filing for Zoning Board appeal or requiring Civic Design Review by the City of Philadelphia Office of Licenses and Inspections.
