I recall when I used to hitchhike many years ago. Sometimes I would spend a whole night thumbing and failing. All night the street lights bore down on me. Somehow, the lights seemed to make me uncomfortable, and by the time sunrise neared, I couldn't stand those damn lights anymore, and I yearned for and craved the first warm light of the sun.

Recently at home, I installed a low-watt yellow bulb at my back door. I wanted to have some kind of light for nighttime security, but I didn't want to disturb the little critters. Yellow bulbs have a lot less blue. If you have a backyard, please do the same! ~Paul
