The Betances Job Training and Employment Program, of the faith-based Esperanza national network, strengthens men's and women's financial outlook by helping them to acquire the level of competence they need to secure long-term employment. This is a life-changing experience that quite often turns near despair into hope.

This six-month program provides special support for people whose primary language is Spanish. Betances combines the latest technology with hands-on instruction in the skills most in demand by today’s employers. Throughout the course, our trainers create real working environments that better prepare our job candidates to handle practical, on-the-job situations.

Through Betances placement service, our graduates find success in manufacturing, retailing, customer service, medical support or in office positions. Armed with a new level of confidence and a sense of pride in their accomplishments, interested Betances graduates go on to Esperanza College of Eastern University, a fully accredited two-year college affiliated with Eastern University, located on our campus in North Philadelphia.

For Employers

One employer said that the Betances graduate they hired had both the technical and people skills necessary to succeed. Fully satisfied with her skills, the graduate earned an unscheduled pay raise.

Employers see that our graduates come to the job motivated and ready to work. They have the technical ability, job-readiness skills and work ethic to make a positive impact throughout their employment.
